Excited about this recent acquisition of this antique wooden gear. It’s the hand made model from which a foundry would then make the mold to cast them in iron. They are quite rare, since only 1 would be made, but dozens (hundreds?) of metal ones then cast. Has an amazing aged patina of colorful worn and flaking paint. Metal ID plate.
