Very rare set of 4 swivel casters of cast iron with a luscious old patina. Dated October 9, 1877 by M. B. Schenck & Company of Meriden, CT. High quality construction; roll and swivel beautifully. Great condition.
Interestingly, Mr. Schenck voted for President Lincoln and started his caster company shortly after returning from service in the Civil War. A great piece of authentic U.S. history! 1912 advertisement shown.
